In the latest issue (September/October) of the Barclays Structured Deposit Series for Offshore Bonds we offer a double opportunity. Firstly we offer the chance to participate in the growth of 50 leading Arab stocks, represented by the Dow Jones Arabia Titans 50 Index. Secondly we offer a product giving protected exposure to the upside in the FTSE 100. These Accounts have a five year term, with liquidity throughout the term, and can be purchased as an investment through most offshore life assurance companies (based predominantly in the Isle of Man, Dublin and the Channel Islands).
Five Year Guaranteed Arabia Titans 50 Deposit Account
This Account offers potential returns via exposure to the Dow Jones Arabia Titans 50 Index. This index tracks the performance of 50 of the largest stocks in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Tunisia and the United Arab Emirates. The Account is available only in US Dollars and has the following return structure:
- US Dollars – 100% capital guarantee at maturity PLUS 120% of any percentage rise in the Averaged Index Performance after five years, capped at a maximum return of 48%, with a minimum investment of $75,000.
Averaged Index Performance is the performance of the Dow Jones Arabia Titans 50 Index subject to averaging on the last business day of every month over the last year of the term of the Deposit (starting 31st October 2012 and ending on the Maturity Date - 31st October 2013).
If the investment is withdrawn early, the client may get back less than they invested.

Five Year Guaranteed FTSE 100 Deposit Account
This Account offers potential returns via exposure to the FTSE 100 Index. This index tracks the performance of the 100 largest stocks listed on the London Stock Exchange. The Account is available solely for Sterling investments. The returns available from the Guaranteed FTSE 100 Deposit Account are:
- Pounds Sterling – 100% capital guarantee at maturity PLUS 220% of any percentage rise in the Averaged Index Performance after five years, capped at a maximum return of 55%, with a minimum investment of £50,000.
Averaged Index Performance is the performance of the FTSE 100 Index subject to averaging on the last business day of every month over the last year of the term of the Deposit (starting 31st October 2012 and ending on the Maturity Date - 31st October 2013).
If the investment is withdrawn early, the client may get back less than they invested.

Time constraints
The time period in which investment can be made into the Accounts is limited - the offer period on these two accounts is from the 1st September until the 30th October 2008.
